Hello to all,
I am very much interested in Falconry and I am looking for any help I can find. I live in the Midwest (Paris Missouri) area. I need help on finding a breeder, and information on what is required to get started. I am partially disabled and have a lot of time on my hands now. Can any one help a 55 year old Fart?

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I would recomend you to find a good course to learn about the sport and whats involved. Tere is good falconry centres and schools all over the country, personally I would recomend Sion Hill Hall in Thirsk, or the Northern school of falconry, but Im sure there is more good courses availible. Anyone?
Im sure it was a thread on about good courses earlier, try to serch on the forum and you will get some up.
Good luck mate, and lets us know if its anything else we can do.

Go on google and look for the North American Falconers Association, they will have a group near you, you'll probably have to do an apprenticeship in your state.

Try Missouri falconers website. You'll have to take the exam, find a sponsor, get your equipment build a mews or weathering and get it inspected before you can get your permits. Then you can trap a passage Redtail or a Kestral. Most of the members of the club live near St Louis or Kansas City. You're welcome to beat the bush sometime with me to see what it's all about.Kurt
