Northamptonshire Raptor Club

A couple of months ago some fellow falconers, Raptor Keepers and I formed the Northamptonshire Raptor Club. The aims of the club are as for all other similar clubs the intention of promoting both falconry and Raptor keeping, With this in mind the committee is formed from a combination of private falconers, comercial falconers and owl breeders. It is hoped to attract people from all aspects of Raptor Keeping. The first meeting last month attracted 25 people and we hope that this will increase this month.
The next meeting is in the Monks Park Working Mens Club, Wellingborough Road, Northampton at 1930pm (Good Bar). Tom Carnihan will be bringing in his Male Golden Eagle and giving a talk on keeping and flying Goldies!
We are planning a field meeting in February as well.
If anyone from the County or nearby wishes to attend it would be great to see them there and actually meet someone off the forum in the flesh (so to speak). Either just turn up or if you want and additional information e mail me at NRaptorClub@aol.com

well just got back from the meet and have to say impressed :D some really nice people and good to chat with :D the goldie was awesome top lil(6lb.5)guy if their is anyone in the northants area looking for a falconry club i can highly recommend this, field meet up soon and top group of people :supz:

Hi there,
The last meeting was a well attended and it was good to meet 3 members of the forum, KUZWING, UKJAY74 and G-UNIT. Sincerly hope that you will be there next month. Thanks for the photos of thde Goldie and Tom, they are excelent Kurt.

The next meeting will be at The Pavillion, Wootton Hall Park, Mereway, Northampton at 1945 hours on Thursday 23 Feb 2006. The guestspeaker that night will be the Northamptonshire Police Wildlife Law Enforcement Officer who will be bringing a full display. All welcome. I will also republish this nearer the date.
