out today with sasha (FRT)my last day of the season as she has a bit of a mess for a tail and i have decided to put her down early to moult. anyway i ended my season on a high as i mentioned i a previous thread i wanted to bag 10 rabbits this season to finish a happy man although it wouldn't have mattered either way as i have had some great sport with her starting the season flying her at around the 2lb 10oz mark finishing these last three or four weeks at 2lb 12+7/8oz.well i went out this morning with 8 notches on the mews door, lol and after a few flights walked up still at number 8 then someone must have been looking down on me as the next two burrys i tried produced rabbit from each and in the space of 15 mins or so i was up to my magic target of ten, i'm chuffed to bits and looking forward to next year already.lucky i have got this forum to keep me company through the moult or i'd be pulling my hair out, heres a few piccys from today my last of the season

sorry to hear youve had to put your red away for the moult abit early as to wrecked tail, but like you said the head count you aimed for was 10 you reached that so all is good and next year new feathers and a nice new tail, what caused to tail damage baiting off the bow or mantling over quarry and sitting back on her tail feathers ????

why put her down for moult due to a bit of feather damage if shes still catching quarry why not wait for another couple of weeks mate unless the tail is really bad

Can you not imp her up, and carry on?

nice picks pal and good you hit your target but if she,s anything like my gos it wont drop a feather till may, you might as well fly her another month. save the boredom, (you i mean not her) good luck,

Thanks For All The Reply's Guys I Know She Won't Start Moulting Yet But Her Tail Is A Bit Bad A Combination Of Baiting And Mantling I Have Imped What I Could But Its Just Not Enough And I Don't Have Any Spares Left......
