I'd like to also add that my friend in Taiwan (another forum member) ordered 3 Harris hawks from Matt. 1.5 years later, no birds and I had to go to work on the guy to get my friend's money back. It took 6 months of phonecalls and umpteen excuses and broken promises on Matt's part before my friend finally got his money.
He may breed nice birds, I have no idea about that. But I will say that he will lie to you and ignore emails at his convenience, citing "power outages" "phone outages" "incompetant assistants" "stupid airlines" "damn Taiwanese government" etc. If anyone would like to dispute this, I have all the emails from him to back this up. He may deal fair and square with domestic Canadian buyers who have a shot at him legally, but internationally, I wouldn't trust this guy as far as I could throw him.
This is the real "name and shame" that people on here often ask for. There is no slander in proveable truth, so he can come after me if he likes. I invite it, actually. 4 other forum members including one very prominent name on here can attest to the dishonesty of this breeder. This guy ****ed my friend around and blamed everyone under the sun and never once admitted that he was simply unable to export the birds.
I reccomend everyone to steer clear of this man.
