I am pretty sure about the 4 I answered but the second one puzzles me. My first impression was bicoloured hawk but I rather think it is some kind of buteo, don't know the species yet. I guess: Buteo solitarius of a special morf of Buteo buteo.

Roel_Birds
24-01-2006, 03:10 PM
I thought so. It must be the wedgetailed eagle that is foult. The picture is a poor quality and it is difficult to judge the size. Imperial eagle?

NGuruve
24-01-2006, 03:12 PM
haha no you are actually right the wrong one was the harrier and its a pallid harrier but well done anyways wasnt expecting them to be that easy

Roel_Birds
24-01-2006, 03:16 PM
The males of Pallid harrier, hen harrier and Montagu's harrier are indeed hard to tell apart. Centainly on a picture.
Bring on the next lot!
