sunday night 11pm, i wasnt about but apparently 5 local youths from a nearby open childrens home went beserk around my breeding avieries. birds crashing off walls and roofs screaming and getting really stressed and upset,one couple actually having sex behind the pens next to my neighbours back door, foul language and obsene insults. luckily my good neighbours chased them away and they ran up the paddock and into the local farm contracters yard were they proceded to have some fun running all over his expensive machinery.3 phone calls later the police arrived with the dogs and they moved on. i will be reveiwing my security arrangements! any tips? what would you do? 1st time in 6 yrs this has happened.

Try an electric fence Keith. There is a firm in Durham that supplies all the gear. Its not that bad price wise. You could double up the reel as a winder for your training kite.

Theres alot you could do, but I suspect a good deep bed of brambles and nettles should do the business. The nettles will work in the summer and the brambles all year round. I have plenty of brambles if you need any 'transplanting'!!! Plus you get to eat the blackberries in September - preferrably in a pie with apples! :D

Apparently this method was used to pursued a few little villans near me to go away and never trouble this persons property, car or family again. From the rumors Ive heard you need to find who the blitters are. Get a bally and grab the biggest little ****er of their gang when the oppertunity is right. Put him or her in the van put a bag over his/her head and scare the **** out of him/her mentally and physically. The use of violence on the gang leader will have a positive effect I'ts rumored. Rumor also has it that they wont bother you again and this is what apparently happened near me they didnt. I should imagine that if this method was used then you would have to have a solid alibi for some reason or other?

I would not personnaly advocate this approach but thought I'd mention it.

The only LEGAL idea posted so far on here and one that works quite well..is ELECTRIC FENCE. You can buy sheep netting or just use tape, or even plain galv. The posts aren't too expensive or use fence posts with insulators. You can buy cheap mains or battery CATTLE fencer. All you need to add to be legal is a few plastic yellow warning signs showing the live wire sign and stating it is an electric fence. If it is too high for them to jump, one touch and they wont come again, the spark can jump up to 1" and makes a very pleasing "crack" it will also ward off dogs and cats if you get the heights correct. then all you can add is a burgler alarm and hope...

It depends on the severity and if witness turn up and some of these birds live longer than ten years anyway and when he came out no ****er would mess with his mews again I should imagine lol Like I said I wouldnt advocate it to anyone, and Its was a rumor that was sent around near me. lol

What makes it a good place for them to go ?! I know this is a bit soft but if you can find what brings them there, make it a **** place for it! they will go! i used bright security lights on a movement sensor so it flashs on and off bugged the **** out of the kids at my old house and they moved off! not far but far enough to stop it doing my brains in!

or you could try this little doosey, reserved for those who don't just step over the mark but steam accross it on a Yamaha R1....... take the ringleader blindfolded in a van to the woods, hang him upside down from a branch (still blindfolded), throw some water over him and let him get the whiff of petrol from a nearby container. then start striking matches lol...... nasty but an effective deterrent......
