mate i need help, how do u attach the pelts via string or do u stitch it on
cheers
At mirst i tried to stitch them, which hurt and wouldnt even go through the lure anyway, so used PVA glue and left it for 24 hours. make sure no glue gets outside the skin. for the food, i just wrap a bit of cord round teh lure, then knot it, place some food in, and knot it again. most people but a bit of white fur or canvas, at the asre but i never got round to it lol

i was thinking of using cable ties but i think it will be dangerous if the hawk catches a talon into it
will try the above mate and mate how did u cure the fur
cheers
any other recommendations anyone
cheers
i didnt cure it lol, so long as i dry it after using it on a wet day it never skints. i also used cable ties to hole it together, while the glue dried, and then took them off.

I made a similar lure to urself, and actually sewed the skin on, glutton for punishment eh? And using a bradawl or other pointy thing made two holes close to each other for the meat thong, I use leather shoe lace and a toggle. Worked gr8 until me spaniel pup got hold of it and savaged the skin! lol
