hello does anybody here know how strong the leash has to be for falconry purposes. I mean how many KG's it has to be able to resist. For falcons and goshawk I do not mean eagles and the like just at least minimum strenght for customery leashes to prevent any breakage.

I dont think there is a set limit for leashes. I have some that you could pull a car with for £5 each if you want some?

i find that a 6mm braided leash is suitable for most birds up to large broadwings. and easily strong enough to hold an eagle. but maybe not practical.
they are strong, water resistant, flexable, washable, non- stiff and last a life-time.
£5 each. i get my braided leashes 6mm from B&Q, 54p a meter.
i use this for male and female harrises, and yes i reckon you could tow a small car with this stuff too.
