Absolutely Shocking.
********.
MAKE SURE YOUR SECURITY IS UP TO SCRATCH FOLKS. I CANT UNDERSTAND PEOPLE WHO DONT LOCK UP THEIR AVIARIES AND REAL TIGHT.
I HAVE 3 STRONG HASPS AND PADLOCKS, AN ALARM, SECURITY LIGHTS AND A CAMARA.
YES, I CARE ABOUT MY BIRDS TOO MUCH AND MY BEDROOM WINDOW IS CLOSE TO MEWS.
GOT HELP THE FIRST C*NT WHO TRIES TO TAKE MY BIRDS.

your dog may be the reason your hawk was not the one stolen mate.
get a security light £8, shed alarms cost about £10 and would scare the **** out of anyone trying to break into a mews. giving them no time to grab a glove let alone a bird. and they will wake you.
good strong padlocks etc.
ive seen some mews at some folks places left unlocked and with little or no security. when i ask why the reply is usually ach, no one would dare. oh yeah??
the sad truth is it happens. make sure you do everything you can to prevent it.

I've got security lights, cctv 2 dogs but if anyone comes over from the back behind the avieries then apart from the birds making a row or the dogs starting they might get in................................but then they have to get passed me and my 'toys' ......................local plod found out what its like to come into my garden at 2 in the morning un announced; luckily the cctv captured everytihng as they tried to say after s*itting themselves, that I was threatening them with a firearm:lol: .................

definately not; .243, .222, .22 and a 12g FAC...........................they were looking around my garden after my next door neighbour warned them about the dogs etc. and when I opened the door, and just stood there with the rifle across my chest and asked them what the f**k they were doing on private property, un-invited, they turned a rapid shade of white..............................
