Hi All
We are making a pistol grip for the Luxander sytem that will simply bolt onto the system in the same way that Marshal do theirs. There will be slots for spare batteries within the pistol grip for a 9v and for the transmitter batteries as well. This is ONLY being produced by M-J Hoods. The pistol grip will cost approx £15-20 and will be ready shortly. What I need to know is how many of you guys with a Luxander system would be interested in one so I can make enough for the first batch :D It will be badged with the M-J Hoods name and Logo.
I will have pics up shortly....

Are you making a grip/yagi combo as is the marshall or is this simply an extra handle for the bottom ? if it only an extra handle how would it fit into the carry case or would we need a new one as well?

The handle will fit onto the end of the Yagi....due to the new spring loaded Yaggi the position of the pistol grip has to be at the end of the Yaggi Antenna. The pistol grip slots onto the end of the Yaggi quickly....so no need for new bag etc its just a click on and click off grip..... its cast from a rifle grip....so its substantial in the hand and allows you to balance the receiver for long periods instead of that horrible little black handle you get that makes your hand ache after long periods. The pistol grip has cross hatching on it for grip and is made from matt resin...you will also be able to store batteries within the handle of the grip x1 6v for the receiver and x12 trans batteries.

Hi J
I was thinking of it..... BUT... because the new spring loaded Yaggi has its lower rail at the mid section of the receiver box ...it means that the pistol grip had to be mounted at the end of the Yaggi. Now .... if you could produce a bag that would accomodate a permanently mounted handle like your Marshal bags then that would be great. Do you have an old Luxy system J? The Luxy bag that you can buy isnt exactly comfortable anyway (I have one) and a Marshal type bag for the new spring loaded Yaggi system would be much better.... could you make a prototype bag if I bring my receiver down for measurements?

Here is a mock up of the new grip..... the completed article is just being developed as we speak...so the link below is just a visual :)

The total length including the pistol grip with a spring loaded Yaggi Antenna is 55cm..... short enough to be carried on the hip like a Marshal....if SJH can produce the bag :)

Hi All
Ok....I have just got the Field Marshall :) .... so I will be getting a copy of that handle made to slot onto the Luxander. Its work in progress at the moment.... I have got to get a couple of things sorted out with "fixings"... but it looks like I will be able to get the handle placed in the same way as the field Marshall :) Will update as soon as....

I could actually do with one as the handle just smapped off one of my MN10s the other day. I know the poll looks bad but what it doesnt say is the percentage of people who said no that dont actually own one.. Mike
