Just an excuse to post some of your favourite photos, but only of what you would consider to be a prime example of what that bird should look like.
I'll kick off with one of the most difficult, the gos.

that american kestral is stunning! heres a 2 picsof aimmature male harris, but dotn have any pics in flight or anything im afriad, if the pics arent a good example ill delete em

Im not too bothered how a hawk looks so long as it is an accipiter!

True CZ: It does take someone special to see the differences. But as BB says its not what it looks like but how it flies.............
Anyhow...I thought this was about Hawks people owned not library pictures (that TOO easy)................wheres your Red....??

just any example will do, why does it have to be your own bird? Obviously its how the hawk hunts that counts, but this thread is about lookers. Or ones that look like a true hunter.

The last one was taken in my avary at home and the chilean had just picked up a quail and was taking it to the nest ledge to feed the chicks. she was NOT happy at me opening the door and sticking the camera lens through.

Nice looking Peregrines also Micheal. Its funny the colour variation in Eyass peregrines. One of the palest I bred moulted out darkest as adult??

She hunts at 2lb 9oz. Sorry the photo of her almost on the Partridge is ****py - I was standing right in the way:oops:

jim is that your male gos, wow, he is beautiful mate :D its sad only if they keep their immature plummage, it looks nice when their grey too, but his pic with his immature feathers is awesome,very nice

Lot more stress on the grey cells though making sure its 100%. At least with the Goldie I dont get mood swings.

A good way of getting some amazing examples of almost any raptor is to go to http://www.birdforum.net - sign up, got to the gallery page and do a search for any species you care to think of and you will get some amazing (and some pretty mediocre) pictures of wild rators - I've been collecting a database of pictures for a couple of years and keep having to delete a few to keep the best 20-30 of each species. It's well worth a look.
That's a cracking looking tiercel you've got there - I'm sure a few of us would like to see more of him now you've got the re-sizing sorted!
