My first non native bop so what telemetry do you guys recommend for a FHH with a devoted owner but not one who wants a second mortgage?

Apologies ! I looked at Telemetry and could only see DIY telemetry. I stand corrected and will try to use the archives.

change the settings at the bottom of that page to give you threads from the beginning rather than just this month
