hi everyone!
I need some advice on moulting my birds out together.they are a tiercel pere an a pere/prarie falcon.they share the same mews/weathering but only on there
blocks.Usually they moult in a pen with a divider but due to me constructing new mews im considering s****ping the divider?Whats other peoples experience of moulting there falcons out together?

loose
give them a try m8 usually works ok, bit of company and all that. but watch them closely at first obviously. i know plenty of people who moult a "mixed" batch together every year with no problems.

they were one of the first commonly produced hybreds in the uk and understandably caused quite a stir but if ever there was a hybred that shouldnt be produced . this is it, unfortunatly the few that are , are in so little demand that they are very cheap therfore "popular". they are truely awfull birds. just my opinion and ill wait for the flack? bring it on.

tell you more ?? about what? thier temperement is shocking they are bad mannered knutters ,ugly and there is no need for them, a pure prairie is bad enough but vastly superior to one of these frankenstein monsters and a peregrine a dream by comparison, some hybryds are fab but this one should be banned and anyone uttering its name should be made to keep a barn owl for the rest of there lives,

Like wise I have flown Pere X Prairies and after thier intial manning no problems what so ever. And the imprint prairie I have has a lovely nature a delight to handle all year. And yes Pere/ Prairies are cheaper than pure breds.
But I know if any falcon or hawk is to be reared and fed right, a breeder cannot afford to produce cheap falcons/hawks. And one thing worries me about these threads, is the way it appears that if you have the money to buy a expensive falcon/hawk it gets a good home?, And if you can just scape enough money together for a cheaper falcon/Hawk it gets a lesser life?. Always Judge the falconer not thier wallet. I agree any live stock can and does get in the wrong hands, its up to the breeders to do thier homework and be fairly happy where the hawk/falcon ends up. No breeder worth his salt wants his Falcons/Hawks shut up in a rich mans zoo or brought by someone who just wants a cheap Falcon/hawk to pose with.

Bit hypocritical putting down one pere hybrid but actively producing another BB? One thing I could say about my pereXprairie was he was consistent - guaranteed kills! Unlike the majority of the barb peres I've seen.
