Lawrence Brain at the Fairview veterinary practise in New Deer is where most people in the area take their birds to.

i dont have anywhere to keep it but i can come and have a look and if all it needs is some rest and food i can give you some chicks and mice to feed it up.
im by no means an expert though so if you find someone better qualified/equipped to deal with it then see what they can do for you.
i tried to call you but line is engaged

If this isnt your local vet, go to your local vet for a chk up first off. They are obligated to treat + provide free pain relief for any wildlife. { interested or not}
Then go from there. Good luck mate.

Well done gromoor!!
I just spoke with him by phone.
Kestrel by accounts.
A local eagle owk keeper stopped by gromoor's.
Left some food (mice and DOC)
Removed water (risk of getting wet and cold)
Bird is in a warm, dark shed.
Has eaten some chick and is protecting the remainders.
I've directed gromoor to Raptor Rescue.

I wouldnt try feeding it just now until you have got it too a vet or someone experienced. The bird may not be strong enough to digest solid food, even if it appears hungry, and feeding could harm or even kill the bird. Let us know how you / the bird gets on.

I have spoke with paul a few times throught the day. he ha sa kestrel thet has eaten and seems to be a bit beaten up. i will continue to monitor its progress and if there is no change by monday afternoon i am going to collect the bid and let my vet have a look and hoefully restore it to full health.

Nice to hear Gromoor :supz:
all i did was supply some food and it was only a few miles out of my way from where i was going with Jester
would it maybe be worth leaving some of the rest of the mice out somehwere handy for it?? some more experienced people might be able to advise

We did our part.
It's up to nature now.
Just wish the anti's could see how we rally to help a wild bird succeed.
Well done Gromoor.

I personally would do this, just to make sure the bird is 100% capable of feeding itself initially.
