A falcon with bells and jesses has been sighted near Crail in Fife (north of Edinburgh).
If there is a falconer in the area who can help or someone who has lost a bird in this area, please contact me by pm and I will pass on the details.

A falcon with jesses, swivel, and the block ring still attached was recaptured today in Blairgowrie. A local falconer attempted to get it out of the tree from which it was ensnared but it broke free, the owner then managed to bring it in.
Home-made equipment eh
Hope it wasnt one of the falcons he has for sale

50 miles? Might be the same one.
The Fife sighting was by a bird watcher. No mention of block ring... No block attached, I take it?<g>

Probably is. Now I come to think about it, the twitcher poster did not sound as if he was posting his own sighting but hearsay.
I put my email address on the bird watcher forum so if someone contacts me, I will report back here.

The Blairgowrie falcon belongs to a local falconer and had not been out long so definately not the same bird.
