one signal was all we got all day & that was about 1.00pm in the same spot as the signal last night. The trouble is there are loads of hills & hollows & we just couldnt work out how far away the bird was & the signal only lasted a couple of minutes. We covered a huge area afterwards on foot but no signal.
Its only a mile at the most from where Psycho was blown away from us & upwind rather than downwind but we think he is using the bottom of the valley to move back & forth so looks like tomorrow its straight to the valley & sit tight.
Poor little chap, feel sorry for him,as Tracie said he was looking back as he was being blown away as if to say HEEELLLPPP.
Chin up jay, there is always tomorrow mate.

I spent about an hour roughly a mile down wind of Whaddon / Mursley this afternoon swinging a lure and whistling, Sorry mate no signs there.
I though I got close once when a flock of pigeons went skyward but it was only someone walking a dog.
My daughter saw a "hawk" being mobbed by crows back end of Newton Longville (near the bottle dump) just as it was getting dark, but there are Spars in that area, and she wouldn't know the differance, it might be worth a quick look with the telemetry anyway?
PM me your mobby number just in case

jay its the roundabout before you turn left on the one to my house, the one you went up second time visiting & got lost lol we went there this morning up the hill & down that narrow bramble track. As you go up the hill Chris's daughter see something getting mobbed by crows & flying low over the hedges on the right as you go up. About a mile up on your right, might be him might not but worth a scan with your handheld before you come to me. Failing that we shall walk where i mentioned earlier(other side of the wood where he first went missing).

Jay, what does your instincts tell you; I know you haven't had him long but do you feel drawn to any particular place.
When my Saker went walk-about last May, I told everyone that iI was drawn back to the same place 40 miles away. 3 days I went back there and she was caught on the other side of where I was looking. Keep your chin up and don't lose focus.

insticts say he has gone further afield than initially thought but not too far he seems to be using low wind speed valleys as his path ..
may sound wierd but also think he is trying to track me down ...
hopefully the drive out to cover more ground tomorrow will give us a better bead on him gonna check the maps and see what i can figure out

Good to hear that there is so much support in our sport when it's needed.
Great bunch of lads/lassies on the IFF.
Must mention the good work that the IBR does again, they were a great help when I lost my Gos last year, and thanks to the quick response of IBR today Jay will be reunited with his bird tomorrow. So message is if you are not registered with the IBR, it is well worrth the 10 pound for 3 years registration (tel 0870 6088500) (I must be up for a discount after all this promoting lol!!)
Best wishes
Steve
