Hi Keith, nothing yet they still havn't finnished the tests on the Austrian/German samples yet but reading between the lines on Friday it didn't sound too good. The French samples are under test but it will be days before they get a final answer all they know at the moment is it is N5 but not what strain.
Like you I am Sh*tting bricks I am only 1/2 mile from one of the biggest wetland reserves in the UK and there are 3 more within a 5 mile radius of me and we are right on the migratory path for Many Ducks, Geese and Swans, so if it comes here I an likely to be right in the middle of it. And France is only 1 hour away from me.

Hi All......... I have just had a phone call from Austria from a friend of mine, in fact he is on this Forum sometimes Viena Falcons, they have just confirmed a case of H5N1 about 2 klms from his Breeding Project so he will be in the exclusion Zone. He is *****ing himself and has been warned that the Health people will be visiting tomorrow or Monday to check his birds.
This is the srecond disaster to hit him this year, he was raided by Anti's late last year and they released a number of his best AI birds and he only recovered 1 of them.
So the problem gets worse yet again, There has been a public anouncement on Austrian TV to confirm this latest outbreak.
Will give any further updates as I get them

Well I been informed of the same. Its now defenatly confirmed in France, I really think its not "if" but "when".
I dont know about the rest of you, but I am getting seriously worried now. I have no fear our falcons will catch it, but I am worried about DEFRA's reactions and "precations" to it..........
