Big Joe, Owlsfoot, Hawkswoop day out in rain

Me and Paul invited Lee(Hawkswoop) out for a day. The weather was pretty bad as everyone probably knows. Lee brought his young Springer Lilly and I took my Springer Charlie. Lee's young bitch worked really well for it's age and has great potential. She knocked a couple of rabs out for us and worked quite a bit of thick cover well. Charlie worked well and knocked a few rabs out but the birds only got on a few due to being out of position. Lee's bird then quickly caught a moorhen but got even more wet as it tokk it at the edge of the river.

We returned to the car and put the dogs away dried out the birds and tried with the ferrt. first hole bolted one but it escaped. The second warren saw two come out both again escaped. The third warren there were two rabs out of it One outgunned the birds who were soaking wet the other didn't. we then bolted another but the birds were to wet to do anything so called it a day, well a wet day.

some good pics there joe wish i was with you i would rather get ****ed on than be at work all day. mind you i did get out and do some moles, rob the farmers well pleased, loads of crows on his fields next to the road got a funny feeling they are going to get gossed at the weekend.:lol:

had another good day with the lads nice to meet lee (hawkswoop) crackin lad we had joes lad conner on point lookin for rabbs runnin for cover he did a crackin job lee and joes dogs worked excellent it was just nice seein a good pair of dogs work chics was unlucky today missin but cant blame him the weather was ****e but at least he still got some flights and is gettin used to the dogs my bud joe got some ace pics as usual and we had a great laugh we all packed up and joe cooked up some crackin bacon buttys when we landed back at his what more can you want thanks joe and hawkswoop

Thanks to Joe and Paul for the invite to join them today, It was a shame the weather was so bad and put a bit of a dampener on the day with getting the birds wet through.
Some great pics again Joe you are the man with the camera !!!
I hope we can get together next season when the weather is better and give them rabbits a bit of stick.
