Guy working in steelworks gave me this glove apparently they use it in the furnace, it really comfy and beatifully lined, some of it is double thickness, its a suede kind of leather rather than smooth though. With a few modification would it be suitable for use for falconry ??

Yes im left handed, fingers look short from the one side because theres a leather skirt, fingers are normal lenghth underneath.

Yes see your point BS1, but as im left handed wondered if it would be atleast worth modifying the left hand one one for others to use in the family.

I think these type of gloves have a chemical treatment on the leather - throw it.

Gloves aren't expensive, get a decent one and look after it - it will last you.

Don,t see a problem with this glove as long as you have a mask you can wear at the same time to hide the embarrasment.

It will not have asbestos in it, It will 100% definatly contain chemicals to enhance the "Slow Burn" properties of the leather.

Next to useless.

That glove looks horrible... Just throw it away and use a traditional glove... By the way my friend, if your not willing to spend the cash on a glove (right or left) your in the wrong Sport / Hobby.

I fully intend buying a glove m8, im left handed so need a right hand glove, rest of the family are right handedj just wondered was it worth useing as a fall back. Wouldn't have bothered posting but one of the dvd's on falconry i purchased (for american apprentice falconers) the falconer instructors were using converted welding gloves. Thanks for the advice on the glove my friend but couldn't you have resisted the cheap shot at the end :-|

ps thats not really me in the picture by the way (just in case its taken seriously :-) )
