for one bird you could make room in your houshold freezer but i think a hawk food freezer specificlly for its needs is better, i run 5 chest freezers for the birds and my electricity bill is horrendous.some where fly proof for your defrosting food in the summer would be good as well m8.

I use a seperate freezer for my hawk food, but then I have a few to feed.
You would probably buy chicks in a box of 250 so you could keep it in your freezer in the house. You then have to think about a balanced diet and feeding better food during the moult, say quail or rats. Would you want that in your house freezer or would your other half. Also once you start catching quarry you would probably need to freeze that. Just a few points worthy of consideration.
Regards.

ask your parents for a space in there freezer for hawk food-lol
failing that buy a small freezer for putting in a shed outside along with the hawks gear.

get a good working freezer second hand, the amount of chicks you get at one time would fill a shelf on freeze freezer itself, as youd would probually only get about 5 rabbits per shelf, and the rest of the family probually wouldnt allow it either lol

Even a small brand new chest freezer can be picked up cheap in the sales.
You can then fit in several box of chics a few rats and quail and all those lovely bunny etc that you will hopefully catch  a good winters hunting fills the darn thing full and keeps the BOP and its little ferret friends in food for the rest of the year (with just a few supplements to diet)
