Hi fello falconers

Hi

I have jsut registered with falconry Forum. Just a quick intro. I am a falconer from India and am currently working for a travel agency in Duabi - Emirates. My friend and I used to trap, train and hunt with our raptors. The laws for trading in birds are strict in India and so never had a chance to keep a Harris. We have flown shikras, red headed merlins ( My favourite ) and spars. Amongst the bigger species we flew were - Crested hawk eagles. My friend has flown Black shaheens, red naped and peregrines. But I personally am more of an austringer.

At the moment I dont have any birds as I dont have the time to fly birds. Will post some pictures later.

Hi Sandeep, Welcome to the MadHouse I am sure inshalla you will enjoy it here. Can you fill in your profile please M8 it will help other forum members later.
Now is not the time to get a bird in Dubai as it is going to get pretty hot soon. Best to wait untill I get there in September and buy one of mine lol:lol:
If the Arab Hunting Exhibition still goes ahead in September in Abu Dhabi please come and see us there a few of the other Forum members will also be there.

hey up whats the hunting land like out there, what quarry do you fly to etc give us all the details about hunting over there so we can see how they differ, always good to know alternative methods, anyway hope you enjoy this site always full of useless facts but the odd bit of sense does come through...sometimes! have fun

I'm presently a field engineer and don't have time for a bird, and am about to switch jobs to something more steady, maybe within 1-2 months.
