Does anyone know of a lost falcon in the Chlemsford area, Essex? I saw what appeared to be an adult peregrine (or hybrid?) in my parents garden in Springfield this am. sorry for delay in posting - tried before but it didn't work. I only saw it quickly and couldn't tell if was wearing jesses, telemetry etc, so could have been wild but would be a very unusual sight in that area. ( perimeter of busy school playing field) It was peregrine size and adult plummage colour ie blue / gray back and light front. Was sitting in a low tree, then seen a few minutes later flying after a couple of pigeons. I've reported it just in case as a sighting to the bird register. Was only visiting so am not in the area now, but could give more details to anyone if necessary.
