I'm also very interrested. I've got the change to buy a 4 year old female bald. She's not traint but is it possible? I'm possible to do this training with someone who already traint several baldies. I'm just interrested if its possible to train a 4 year old female.
Thanks already

Ok, I just wanted to see if anyone out there was working with them as I will be involved in the training of 2 in a few weeks! There is a young male (prolly around 4 years old?) and an older female. I know from working aound them and our other eagles that they are huge wusses - huge difference between a bald's tempermant and a golden's tempermant!!! We have talked with many other facilities and people at IAATE, and the others that I will be working with have trained a bald before, but we want to do better this time. I just wanted to get an idea of my resources for questions. Atomik, I'm sure I'll be talking to you soon!

I have had the pleasure of this baldy for the last few months. She hates me and bates at me not for food but to get at me. I even have to go indoors when she is flown!
Her brother is fine but hates another of our falconers.

Most probably, run by Giles and his wife? He was originally at Knockhatch Adventure Park in Hailsham until he brought the 'old' run down and closed Owl Sanctuary' in the New Forrest.

Brilliant pictures there guys, eagles are funny things with thier tempers. I've never flown an Eagle before but had a Tawny at the centre that would jump off the bow at me  she was a cracker of a bird though looked fantastic

We fly two male Balds. The first one has been quite stroppy and aggressive from the start but can also be a total wimp (scared of our 2 chickens!!). The other male to start with was like flying an enormous Harris, easy going and laid back. This all changed when we brought in a new eagle. He is dreadfully jealous (we have also heard of this reaction from other eagles as well). We have to make sure he never sees us handle another eagle otherwise he gets the grumps and tends to do a runner when we fly him or really shows off and will not come in when called. Both fly really well as long as we keep them happy.
