hi fellas has anybody seen the omni directional magnetic antenna,on ebay just wondering if anybody has one and how they rate them.how did it perform in the case of a lost falcon, how would they rate them on a scale of 1-10 and is there an equivalent out there for the same sort of money that will do a better job? cheers KEV.

I Bought A Cheap One .about 9 Pound.works Great You Drive Around Until You Get A Really Good Signal Say A Nine On A Marshall Medium Setting, then Track By Foot Saves Loads Of Time. And Usually Before The Gets A Crop Full.

Mag mounts are great but you must make sure the antenna is cut to the correct length for the frequency you are using otherwise you loose range.
They save a lot of time and energy when searching for a wayward Falcon or Hawk,

Why would you want to Hawk with a Gull when you have a perfectly good Eagle sitting around doing nothing? PMSL

I've seen the mag mount on EBay, but when looked at closely they look [to me], a bit cheap & shoddy. But a mag mount is an indispensable piece of kit. Especially when flying a longwing at gulls or corvids, where you'r bird may have killed out of site & some distance away. It's a lot easier & faster to follow by car than trudge for 5 miles or so on foot over rough country.

Garlands, Falconry Electronics or a C.B. shop but it must be the right length! The C.B. shop'le probably be the cheapest!
