Tell him to buy books and not magazines if he wants to learn about birds. Too many adverts in Mags IMHO

International Falconer
International Falconer
I think I would rather read a mag. produced by someone who actually got out there and did some flying/hunting.:yawinkle:

Read books, get them from the library for pennies 8-)
Sorted.

Yes, sorry, you are quite right!. The articles are, I think, written by active falconers! And very interesting too. But I said "produced" - maybe I should say compiled or edited?
Certainly no complaints about the majority of the articles though!!

Again, sorry! I am particularly gormless tonight. Your subtlety went clean over my Neanderthal head.
Must try harder:(
PS - Have given up on all falconry mags now - get the Beano - more interllectually challenging
Dont bother with "The Falconers".
Is that still going????

What about 'American Falconry'I always find this an excellant read.Although being American I do appreciate that they have laws different to ours and so prehaps might not be a suitable read for the beginner.Nevertheless it contains great articles and pictures that would interest the experienced.I would be interested to know what people generally think of it.

I subscribe to this mag. - and I find it an excellent read! It is always interesting to read about falconry from the perspective of a different country - and their laws. The articles are always informative and well-written, and have great variety - presumably due to the sheer size of hawking country the US encompasses.
