It is just a scanner with a yagi. You could buy your own scanner and then stick a yagi on it.

You can't go far wrong with Biotrack kit. I have the same system; can't fault it.

What Biotrack don't know about telemetry is probably not worth knowing. They know their stuff!

Cheap at the price. I recently spent £689 for a BT-6 and a VT-2. Expensive, but very, very good kit.

If someone knows about telemetry and tracking that is Robert Kenward, and he is one of the main people in Biotrack. He is top scientis and he knows lots about telemetry and wildlife!!!!

90 days warranty of the transmitter doesn't sound good to me.

Scanners are well and reliable, you will finds a shop in you surroundings where you can go for services therefore no sending to USA ;-).
Look the following http://members.aol.com/joemoell/owlfaq.html

If there still questions mail me .

Better typs for birdtracking(scanners) are: AOR AR -8000, ICOM IC - R10, ALINCO-DJ-X10 and Yupiteru MVT-7100

I myself use the ICOM IC-R10 with Marshall Yagi and RT - Transmitter.

I Love it !!!
