can anyone tell me what a referal is on the user profiles and what it does?

Katie,
If you look on the top of someones post you will see a balance. Click on it if you want to give someone a Ya or a Nay on a post. Can give them a yes or a no and leave a comment. It is do add to someones reputation.

i thought it was when you have told some one about this forum. and they join it and said they was refferd to it by who ever.
as on mine it says ive got 3. ?

Reputation points are earned when someone likes your post and used the scales at the top right hand corner of your post to indicate if they like the post or not.
Referals are what you said as far as I know or they could be when someone refers to one of your posts in another thread, I think that was what Hawkmaster or Finnish told me.
Ask them to be sure

OK a referral is when you recommend some one to the site... When some one new joins the forum it asks who referd them....

As some of you may or may not know when a new member signs up onto the forum they can say who has referred them to it.
If you have not done it then go do it now and we will have some fun to see who the top referrer to the IFF is?
As of today the list is as follows:
10 Referrals - Finnish
3 Referrals - Kentish Falconry, Gaz, Talon & HarrisHawk.1.
2 Referrals - Sprout, HawkEagle, HunterPaul, BudFin, BHawk, Quiver, Stephen, Andy, Little Owl, Paul & Barry
1 Referral - Falcon, AndyYounger, Greg, Moritz, Goldie, Barney, BobMorley, Harris27, GregMik, Chunty, Pitbull, Hell99 & PeteSmithI know some of you may disagree with that but it only means people have not said you are their referrer, so get on to them with a PM and this link.

Ok,
In a round about way Gaz did refer me here. At the NAFA meet he used my laptop to read the forum. I came home and went threw my history and got on.
I have also refered Tasha, Accipitress, goshawk00, accipiter3, jimmy and a few more. But my referal link didn't work. And I guess they didn't put me in when they signed up.

I Have to my knowledge referred 3 ~ James falconry1, Fiona & Huw Fawcett ( probably more but I can't rmember off hand) but it only shows as 1? anyone know why this is?

Whats the point in chasing up people who we may or may not have refered then? Some people have just got too much spare time... You can tell that the season is about finished again. :lol:

What you seemed to miss here as the main point, is not what the forum can do for you as a reward but by increasing you own refferal numbers you do not have to say to us where are my reffered members or but I refferred more people where are they? Or what is this refferal thing about?
It is for your own kudos. Personally I do not think anyone here will be able to rival the main refferer anyway so it does not matter.
