Well, we've all had an interesting day, haven't we:lol: We were in the middle of reading the IFF when Greg got a call that a redtail was in need of our help. It was caught in a golf driving range net about 40feet up. It turned out when we got there it was only 30 feet up:roll: That was a good thing though, since Greg's ladder is only 28 feet high. It was in the middle of the net no less so Greg's ladder didn't have much to support it. I tried to hold it steady while he worked on getting the bird free. He had to come back down once to get some tape to secure the free foot before she grabbed him. Which she did while he was attempting to tape up the foot, of course:rolleyes: He finally got her free and we took her to the Raptor Center to be checked out. They're going to keep an eye on her foot-it was a bit swollen and tender and she wasn't using it much. She could've been hanging there for quite awhile. They'll release her back in the area we got her when they're sure she's ok. Our good deed for the day8-)

Sorry Terry, No beer sales here on Sunday....Besides we are going to get 6-10 inches of snow tonight so I will have to go plow. The bad thing is I was just starting to read about the row when I got the call so I missed all the fun. Thanks for the kind words guys. We had fun doing it. Can't wait for the coopers trapping in warehouses.

Thanks guys:) It's nice to be able to help the birds out. And like Greg said, we have fun doing it. Generally we're trapping cooper's hawks out of warehouses so it's not quite as hazardous to our health (well, Greg's anyways:D ). Though Greg does get to put downy hawks back in nests in the spring too, which is fun and occasionally involves shedding a bit of blood. I let him do all the stuff involving climbing and muscles:yawinkle:
