Hi all newbie here,
I don't own a bop yet, been interested in falconry now for about 7 years since first seeing it being demonstrated at a country fair. i don't think i have enough spare time at the minute to devote to a bop. used to be signed up to the usa falconry listserve but it was too much usa focused. found this forum a couple of days ago and have been trawling through the posts,its certainly a very lively place. nice to see alot of people local to Leicester on the forum i'm in Markfield. be nice to possibly meet up with some one day. anyway back to lurking mode.

Stick around and you will learn loads of useful stuff for when you do get the time to have yoru own... good for you for holding back. I think you will be safe from the marauding hoards with statements like that :wink:

Hello Paul Olivier,....I've gone all sentimental now with memories of Markfield, the smell of the bread cooking in the village bakery, the miners marching home from shift and the sound of their boots on the cobbles, Mrs. Quail in infants putting the third pints of milk on the radiator to warm in winter, Mrs. Blood the nit nurse, getting bitten by that damn dog that lived on the green... anyway, take no notice I'm clearly getting older than I thought...
