Squirrel Chaps for harris hawk

hi guys there i alot of squirrels where i hunt but i never dare fly em just incase of an injury acurring then i seen the squirrel chaps and was wondering if the are that good... and if sum1 could sell me a pair for my female harris hawk i would be greatfull

hiya mate, you shouldn't need to buy a pair they're easy enough to make. know how you feel with the tree rats.. mine's had a few this gone season.

Unless you plan on flying them regularly then chaps will prob be a big waste of time for you. Best thing to do is just try to avoid them if poss (altho the lil sods are everywhere) you'll get some fantastic flights but there's always the concern of injury so I keep her off them if at all poss, inevitably you'll get the odd chase and poss catch, best thing to do is just get there bloody quick and dispatch it to minimise any poss damage. You planning on flying through the moult then?

He he know how you feel mate, was eager to keep going myself, altho you'll come to appreciate the rests between seasons. Think the birds appreciate the rest too. If you're still after some chaps before next season I'll see what i can sort out for you altho honestly as i said, unless you plan on flying them or she gets them regularly they really aren't worth the hastle.

squirrel chaps are easy to make and easy to make so that you can take them on and off. The ones I made the eyelets are held with the flying jess, so you can take them off and replace with ordinary anklets if you wish. They are a good idea if you have a lot of squirrel. There are pics posted on here and I think some one posted patterns too.

squirrel chaps are very heavy. I have not seen chaps take that many bites. i like using regular anklets made of a good thick leather.
