I would like to thank Terry & Rachel,
For their hospitality on my visit at the weekend to pick up my gorgeous new female altai saker,
We traveled from Fife to Terry,s on Saturday (long haul 500+ miles) to be greeted with big broad smiles and a fair bit of ribbing cause we are Jocks, mind you reckon we gave as good as we got,
We were given a guided tour of Kentish Falconrys facilities by Simon (Terry,s superb helper) we seen the most amount of beutifull falcons we had ever seen in one place,
from awesome white gyrs to stunning peregrines and the biggest harris hawks i have ever seen,
Unfortunatly or fortunatly I had some serious issues with a sore tooth, and had resorted to slooshing brandy over it to kill the pain, (paracetomol etc not doing a thing)
Turns out that brandy is Terrys and Simons favourite tipple, so after my 1/2 bottle got demolished, we had to send out for some more (sore tooth)
After a lovely meal from Rachel we went about the job of making sure my toothache was not going to bother me that evening,
The long and the short of it is we had a brilliant time in knowledgable and fun company, and would recomend it to anybody (you need to hold your drink though)
Once again many thanks to Terry, Rachel, Simon and Sophie for making the occation of picking up a new bird such a memorable one.
The drive back was a bit of a trek (hangover and all)
But we arrived home safely, settled in Mika for the night, picked her up Monday and weathered her, and she fed on the fist last night at the first time of trying, she is an extremly calm bird and has taken everything so far in her stride, A credit to Terrys breeding knowledge and we look forward to working with this extreemly gorgeous bird,
Cheers all Keith
