By this do you mean, is it safe to feed a bird rabbit infected with myxymatosis?

In which case the answer is yes.

Myxymatosis only infects rabbits. It can't transmitted to birds or other vertebrates. Myxymatosis infected rabbit is safe to feed to birds and a myxy rabbit can make a nice easy kill to get a bird entered.

Another question do all rabbit's have flees? Can the flees from the rabbit bite the bird?

dont feed the bird the rabbits head as mixy effects the rabbits brain.

i personaly wouldent feed any mixy rabbits but thats just personal prefence and i know people that do and have never had bad side effects.

Just remember to take the head mate :-)

The thing is if you catch a rabbit that's got it bad. Just the thought of it:vom: There is nothing wrong with feeding them to your bird. But i dont..

Most rabbits have fleas. They don,t survive on your hawk or your dog for that matter.

How come they dont survive on your dog? So why are we being told to flee and worm our dogs regularly? Different type of flee?

I'm not taking the **** just genuine questions that pop into my head.

Thanks for all of your replys!:goodman:
I doubt i will feed mixy rabbits to my hawk due to just the site of the mixy rabbit etc(if its got it bad). I will just sling it in the hedge and let the kites have it

It must be different type of fleas that affect dogs.
When I was a boy I remember seeing rabbits that my lurcher caught had lots of fleas.I asked the vet if the dog could catch them and he said they couldn,t. I have never had fleas on any dog so I dismissed it and have never given it any thought. Maybe someone better qualified could confirm it incase I am giving out duff info.
