I moulted my MHH with no problems during the Summer last year. This year however, due to the horrendous winter we have just had and due to the weather could not fly him as much as I would have liked, I am thinking of moulting him in the winter. However, if the moult is started by long days as seems to be the line of thought, is moulting in the Winter started by increasing weight alone. I am torn between the morale issues of summer flying, and the well being of my Hawk, as I would like him going into the moult contented. Any comments, advice etc would be appreciated
