Hi everyone, just joined your forum, and find it a really good source of usefull info, I live in Swansea and am just getting back into Falconry after a gap of about 15 years, and have just ordered a Female Superior Harris Hawk, which should be with me around mid August at about 18 weeks old. I am absolutely busting to get her, but at least I have the time to get back up to speed with the delights of training, building the Aviary, etc. If any of you are from the Swansea area, please say hi, especially if you would like someone to carry your bag etc... for day out hunting, hint hint!

Hope you get a real buzz from the forum and it is as much fun as getting that new hawk?
What did you fly before and why stop?

Hi, I packed it in because I just didn't have the time to dedicate to it, I had a Kestrel that I flew to the lure and moths, which was good fun, then about 6 months before I packed in picked up a MHH, but never hunted him as I just didn't have the time, I sold him on and sulked for 15 years lol.

Just plotted a map location, and found that I live a couple of streets away from "JayHawk". I guess that he's the man with the Hawk that my kids have told me about.
