Hi all
I did try and join in the forum chat a couple of weeks ago without letting you all know a little bit about me. I did feel aggrieved at the negative responses I received. I have been following the forum since and realise why you are so guarded in accepting new members onto the forum.
There are clearly a few members who are not and possibly will never be privileged to regularly handle BsOP.
I have been impressed, just by following the forum, by the quality of the help and advice that is available to many of those who are clearly dedicated to the art of falconry.
I became interested many years ago whilst serving in the RAF at Lossiemouth and had the good fortune to see BsOP bred by keen followers who worked at the bird control section of the unit. Unfortunately the RAF went along the lines of Land Rovers with speakers scaring off the birds that were a problem to the aircraft and not using a BOP.
I attended a falconry course in the late 80’s and have brought on and hunted a FRT with very experienced friends a couple of years ago, and am currently helping out at a local Raptor Rescue Centre. I have the very good fortune to hunt using a FHH with 2 MHHs and also to hunt a FRT.
