Usually around 5-6 months, unless you have an eagle!

Hi and welcome to the forum nice to see you filled in a bit of your profile always nice to know a bit about the person you "speak" with.
Why dont you post a "introduction post" (http://www.falconryforum.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=39) and tell us a little bit about yourself?
Hope you enjoy it on here and have fun ;)

Usually around 5-6 months,
As Renton say's 5-6months.
Not sure about every1 else but give's us and the hawks a well earned rest after a good season.
and time to catch up on all the things put of in the flying season
Going back a couple of years the H/H's that myself and Abeboy had then 5year old F/H and 2003 M/H.
Both birds put down to moult at the end of feb and free lofted fed the same.
The Female was up and ready to go mid August but the young male was know where near finished it was well into Nov before we could start Manning him again.

Hi there and welcome to the IFF Matthew!
As mentioned above an intro will be good and even some piccies!
In theory I would say your birds will moult out in 4 to 6 months and sometimes even longer, it depends on many factors and these can be found on the forum if you do a search.
Unfortunately they may both moult out at different rates or the same time, if you are lucky, hard to say with 100% certainty.
Cheers and welcome again!

if you speed up the moult by giving your harris alot of heat and alot of light will it make the feathers any different ?¿?¿
