now i dont listen to a lot pf people but prefer my own judgement on most things (rightly or wrongly) the reasons are fairly obvious in falconry every body has an opinion 8)dont want to sound arragant and i know it reads this way .... but i may open my ears for opinions on why mine have copulated and laid so early..if i trace back on the birds history they both were hatched late june so no sighn of early breeding there ....the reasons i think ......-are the breeding chamber was used my my hunting female mia free lofting and the breeding female on the other side but they cannot see each other closed partition.....now when i built my other mews and put mia in it was the same day i got my new male and imidiatly put him in breeding chambers and opened up the closed partition so they can see each other this was in january......so now to my reasoning and i will listen to others opionion on this.....is it because breeding female could hear another bird without seeing it and the transition from moving mia and putting the male in on the same day and removing partition prompted eary breeding (ie calling food passing nest building etc ) im just interested in other opinions on this

There certainly seems an art to this goshawk breeding how are you finding things Gary, is this the first season your attempting to breed from your pair?

P.S I hear Mia is a little something special, Spartheone was mightily impressed with her.

All The Best,
