Hi
I moved this to the correct forum.......
As for coping a falcon beak, I for once just cut everything identical to what it looks like long, but shorter, ie. save the tooth. Some people cut the tooth of, but thats mainly if you risk severe overgrowing of the beak, ex if they are in breeding, still I save the tooth, I just trim it down and file it.
I cut it with a pair of plyers or clippers and then file the beak in to shape again. I find the use of small chain saw files brilliant.
Dont know if this explained anything?

I photograph the beak as an eyass and use it as a template to how it should look
I use a dentists drill it has really fine bitts that I cadged off my dentist to do the final shaping & finnish off with a box coping file, shaping the tomial tooth into a right angle that fits the notch in the lower mandible.Finaly polishing with extra fine emery paper.I've also got a Dremel with a flexible shaft, but the bitts are too large for shaping the tooth.
