I am going to be selling up and moving away in the not too distant future (probably early next year), for personal reasons. I cant see a way round it, so I am making preparations now to find good homes for my hawks. so this is a pre 'for sale' thread. I want to get a better i dea of who is who and who knows a bit about falconry and who knows nothing. And out of those people who would like to buy one or some harris hawks? When it is time to sell the hawks, I have to know that they are going to good homes.
feel free to inquire about what will be avaiable...

tell me about it! :( Its all a bit up in the air... I really hope I find good homes, otherwise I will have to let them live in the aviary where they are and not get flown..but I dont really see that as an option.

as it happens i do... i am selling a female for a friend of mine. shes 3yrs old and can be a bit of a hand full. its nothing major, shes just not the type that will sit next to you and watch tv all evening. When shes down to correct weight(about 2lbs), if you dont take her out hunting regularly, she will hunt you instead (can be aggresssive in other words)... Defo not for the faint hearted lol Not for sale to anyone as a first bird or anyone who gets intimidated easily. 350 of your hard earned pounds please. Phes seem to be her prefered food, but rabbits, pigeon, crow and anything else that dares come into view are chased with gusto. Shes was very fit, but not flown now for a couple of months.
and I was considdering selling my old female, as i dont get her out much. but i would like to breed in the next year or two. shes been passed on a lot and is becomming happy with me now, so it would be a bit unfair to sell her again, but if anyone near me is interested im more then willing to loan her to someone wanting to hunt. - would need a lot of fitnes work done as shes currently lacking in that department
shes **** in the wind, but apart from that shes the cunning and expert hunter of rabbits. Shes a real hand full at home, but in the field shes lovely. all the aggression goes completely. and she will come back for the lure if nothing else...which would prob be your only option until she really knows you.
if anyone is interested then let me know.
