ok what do you guys use as a preventative measure for lice on your birds, powder etc

guess i meant mite's then not lice as i have no experience with the little blighters in all my time with my bird's (harris your safe lol) just want some different brands of product as i'm always striving for the best
anyone swear by a particular brand of product then?????????????

yeah - if you can hood the bird to spray it do so first, or just be vary careful, i always spray her outside the aviary too so the wind takes away any excess. make sure you get undersides of wings too, i do this by rocking my fist back and forth to get her to open her wings to steady herself.

people also use the frontline spray i've seen, 's meant to be pretty good.

a healthy bird should not have lice
just spray for it once and that should do the trick

as the post says, it's a preventative measure innit, like how you de- flea dogs, even if they haven't got them, just part of the upkeep of the animals.

He meant mites and hunting birds healthy or not can catch them, to be ignorant of the fact your hawk can pick up parasites could be to cause it harm.
I use Frontline, have used Johnsons, and a Pidgeon powder (which contained exactly the same ingredients).
