A number of people have been asking me to run an Incubation Course, now that we have eggs in the system and chicks due to hatch I think now is the time to run the course before we get just too busy.
The course will be for 12 people max and will be split into 2 groups, I will deal with Incubation and equipment and Simon my Head Falconer will deal with Feeding, nutrition and suppliments.
The cost will be £50.00 per person
Please let me know by PM, E-mail or post on this thread the course will run on a first come first served basis
WE will hold the course on 22nd April from 10.00 to 1600/1700hrs, there will be a 1 hour break for lunch at the local Pub where the food is cheap and excelent quality (Can you eat a 32oz Steak?)

its not a simple as you think mate it cost alot to feed the birds and plus there young and is it worth risking a male haris with an agresive female and alot of stress and worry when the young are about to hatch

Not a problem mate to a guy like yourself. Only peregrines or possibly AK for insemination this year but the incubation could range from owls falcons to Harris hawks. Just keep in touch mate and I will arrange something. Alf.

As this thread has been revived it seems an opportune moment to let you all know that we will be running another Incubation/rearing Course and an AI course again this year during April. I will let you know the exact dates later any one interested please let me know. Both courses will be for 10 people only and I will ask you to book as soon as possible.

how much Terry?

Kentish Falconry
27-12-2006, 11:44 AM
Sorry

It will be £50 per person for each course

AI course will be held on 7th April

Incubation & Rearing course will be on the 14th April

This will allow us to show you as well as tell you how we work, I find people tend to pick things up better when they actually see them done rather than just telling you how to do it.

Hi Terry and the rest of the forum members,

I wonder if you would be kind enough by way of resume, of telling me the following:

How long have you been a Falcon Breeder?

Who taught you about incubation?

What species have you bred?

How long you have been offering these courses?

I am interested in furthering my knowledge and would very much like to learn more from the right person?

Thanks very much and have a great christmas and new year all!

Hi Terry and the rest of the forum members,

I wonder if you would be kind enough by way of resume, of telling me the following:

How long have you been a Falcon Breeder?
20 years or so full time

Who taught you about incubation?
Mostly taught myself learned by trial and error started in the 70's

What species have you bred?
Have a look at my website M8 I have bred others as well including Owls, Kites etc

How long you have been offering these courses?
Second year as a proper course but privately much longer

I am interested in furthering my knowledge and would very much like to learn more from the right person?

Thanks very much and have a great Christmas and new year all!
