What does it mean when you guys say creche reared? That's not a term we use in the US.

I may be wrong, but I've always thought it was raising a group of chicks together without an adult - ie. hand feeding or placing food with them.
With that in mind, I would guess it produces a kind of social imprint?

Creche rearing can indeed be without an adult bird present. The method though can be carried out with a non parent adult in an adjacent pen. This bird having a window onto the nest ledge containing the young.

Jimmy, Over here is the states not many breeders creche rear their hawks. It's either imprint or parent reared. As has been said , it clutches reared together w/o parent involement.

So basically it's the same as what some folks call "chamber raised" here in the states?

Isnt chamber raised is just another term for parent raised?

If they are reared with siblings they could be called chamber raised but also crech reared. The difference is if they are reared by themselves (not imprinted) they are only chamber raised.
