If I'm not mistaken, most frozen foods begin to lose the vitamins and the other good stuff in about 3 months. However, I've fed my birds food that was frozen much longer than that with no ill effects.

Rat, chick an quail orders go in every month to Honeybrook, but the rabbits get caught in winter and stay in freezer until used up and we have to do a bit of netting to restock. So try to use rabbit in dates it was caught but some must stay in there for 6 months. Think the star rating on freezer gives you an idea, never had a problem.

all my food i get from honeybrook, plus the rabbit and hare from the season..... be carefull not to skimp to much on food, you pay for what you get, and as we approach the risk of birdflu i personally would stick to well known supliers such as honey brook farm...... i dont really keep to a time limit, but i suppose after being a chef, id say keep meat up to aound 12 months, but still i wouldnt be overly worried, as its only really going to decrease in vitamins in longer periods of time.... so stock up mate... stu
