View Full Version : Day out with Eagles

I considered donating a day out with the Goldies(for 1 person ) in the coming season in order to raise funds for the Andean Project.I don,t know what reaction this would receive so I am "testing the water" as it were.
It would consist of a day out in prime hare country with 2 golden eagles. If necessary hotel accommodation ( 1 night ) close to the hunting ground would be organised and paid for by me.I would also supply a packed lunch and transport from the hotel.Consideration would have to be given to a previous thread of mine relating to "stepping on toes " where land is concerned.
There are one or two on the forum have spent time with me doing this and may post as their enjoyment of such a day.
All the best.

You wont get a beter day out than with Bently and Taggart. not forgetting Neil of course.

I have seen these eagles fly first hand and they are truly amazing!
A real opertunity for someone to see goldies flown as they should be.

I think it is an excellent idea for a very worthwhile cause, well done Berkut!
He deserves everyones support on this, maybe the raffle idea could work, allowing even people on a tight budget to experience the true wonder of flying these eagles in a hunting environment.
If everyone on the forum bought at least 1 ticket?
Ben and the Andean project would be well and truly launched on their way!

thought this was a tester?

Berkut

It seems it moved from a tester to a goer.
If a mod adjusts the thread accordingly and decides on the best way to go with this I shall go along with it.There may be complications with a raffle, but if they can be overcome and that is decided ,so be it or alternatively we can go down the auction route.Whatever is decided my contribution stands.

i will second that. Plus it will attract those that are further away to buy also, rather than bidding a coupla hundred then paying for travel.

The opportunity to spend a day seeing quality eagles fly on quality land at an abundance of mountain hare would be well worth the £10 ticket price.

You do have to put up with Berkut's company though ;)

A raffle is easy..........everyone sends hawkmaster/finnish their money. They put our membership numbers in a bag and they pull out a winner.

I LIKE THE IDEA.............

All we need is an address to send our cash to. :supz: :supz: :supz:

Surely it needs to be collected first to see who goes in the hat. THEN OFF TO BEN :supz: :supz: :supz:

if you can sell 49 tickets then we can each pick our numbers between 1 and 49.

Then let the lottery bonus ball decide, no arguments about favoritism or back handers then.

Money sent to HM or whoever is responsible.
