Yes I will have a go with an eagle version... there is a bit more work required for the Gore-Tex though .... all the edges have to "small" stitched and the gape as well to prevent peeling... so its double the time. But the end result should look good and be effective... wish i could get hold of some small Gore-Tex labels to make them look extra posh :D

Griff..do you think this gortex is also suitable for making a female spar hood? Guess only gortex will not be possible and for spar a hood should preferably be very light. But well you know ;-). I suppose it would be perfect for a female saker for sure?

Hi All
Just put this one on the block.... still wet & will be dry by morning.... I will be taking it to the fair tomorrow if you want to see it :) Its been a bitch to make ...but the next one will be a bit easier with the experience I have gained off this one... it should look good once dry and complete... I have used my smallest stitch wheel for this ..too keep the seams really tight for water proofing... that whats taken the time:!:

Well Griff..i hope you have the time to build up stock because i think any sensible falconer with brains will just buy your hoods whenever they need one!
Just some free publicity but with reason for Griff. I know from experience he has an excellent knowledge of hoodmaking and is putting every effort in constantly improving his skills and products. This has resulted in him being at least one of the best, or maybe even the best, hoodmaker existing in current times. People here for longer time have seen a lot of his excellent hoods. The slijper one of him being indeed one of the greatest. Especially because he makes them! So, i would just strongly advice people needing a hood to definitely go for an M-J hood. I myself will get 2 this year at least one slijper. Top quality for my princess and a spar :-)
