no flying this time of year but i know a few of you lads stalk as well as fly birds. thought you may be interested in this unusual roe i shot last night, it must have took a knock just when the new antlers were starting to grow, my little lab sat well, 100 yards back up the hill while i stalked to 200 yards for the shot. it was very dry and with the bracken it was like walking on cornflakes. this picture was taken the next morning, as the deer was shot at 9. 10 pm on my way back to the caravan.:yawinkle:

A nice cull buck, i think you are right regards the damaged antlers.
I use a Tikka T3 Lite Synthetic .243

25-06 is virtually a 243 with the handbrake off m8. one of my pals was down from fife with three buck heads he has shot this season, all will make gold medal, i will try and put some pics on later.:yawinkle:

hows this one hacker m8. bit better than the cull buck i shot.
