Ask Garlands....they had DP "Copies" on their stand :!:

Those gloves are actually "Rodeo" gloves.... you can buy them by the bucket load for peanuts. All Doug has done is put his stamp on them :D

It is called a Gunn glove pattern and I have been after it for many years. Even cut up a DP Glove to make one and never got there.

Got PC problems at the minute so not able to upload what I HAVE, NOT THAT IT IS A HUGE HELP!

Tim, have you looked at some of the normal gloves used in industry, and just extended the wrist a bit?
I mean like the riggers etc?

I have had a look at stuff like that but just want to have a go at one of those gloves.
I thought they were very comfortable.

It is only a welders glove pattern and there are two different thumbs.

What about finding a leather that you like at a shop or on the web, and then cutting up a welders glove and extending the cuff? I would get a harness awl if I were you to make the sewing easier. Try www.leatherunltd.com for your stuff. Maybe a heavy calf or cowskin. I would asume that this is probably not for an eagle? Thus perhaps a 4-5 oz (2mm thick) might work. If that's to thin then go on up to 6-7 oz. You'll probably want to go to a local shop and compare thickness before buying off the web.

Just some thoughts...

Thats how the above pattern was initialy produced.

The resulting glove resembled a pigs trotter, much like the welding glove it was taken from.

The pattern is still being refined
