After a discusion with Terry at Kentish Falconry today he has asked me to post his withdrawal from the forum. With regards to the events of yesterday evening Terry has decided to leave the fourm. At this time of year I can understand the stresses and strains of the breeding season setting in. It is not the easiest time of year for any breeder, and the last thing Terry needs is to be put in a situation where he feels he has to justify himself in public rows on the forum. There for wasting time that could be better spent with the breeding seasons requirements. I personally feel that this is a tremendous loss to the forum in support and knowledge via pointless bickering.

How long has UKjay been involved in falconry, about 2 mins and has about the same in knowledge, I don't see why a respected member with real valid daily input should be lost because of one idiots behaviour, I have only dealt with Jay once via PM and completely messed me about, I think people should steer clear of him.

Loads of factors due to Terry been willing to pass some of his knowledge on to me I will soon have my first incubator hatch if not this egg then one of the others soon to follow..

Character Assassination
I read the thread that was started by UKJay last night and I was sickened by his attempt to blacken Kentish (Terry) for some petty reasons on his part. While I do not like to bring up things that are consider unwanted threads by the Moderators, I think I need to state something’s that I have had on my chest last night and today.

I have spoke to Terry today like Karl and he is very irate with what has been happening to him by Jay, who is trying his hardest to blacken his name and his birds not just on the forum but all over the world via the internet.

One thing I will clear up right now is Jay is a liar and a coward. When I purchased Missi my Pere/Saker off Terry, in January Jay had nothing but praise for Terry and the falcons Terry has also the falcon he bought. Jay was supposed to be calling at Terry’s that weekend and we were going to say hello, Jay phoned Terry and said he could not make it I spoke to Jay on the phone and there was no bitterness towards Terry of any kind only praise. Why did he not say these things at the time he met Terry and purchased his falcon? Simple Jay is lying about Terry and Terry’s birds and I guarantee that.

The things this little man has been saying is all fabricated rubbish and are motivated by jealousy and a bitterness that stems from not getting his own way.(I hate people like this and I have dealt with a few of these type of people before in my past) lol

To try and blacken the name of a man over the Internet that others and I have great respect for, is nothing but cowardice. I wish he had the courage to admit his lies about Terry and stop doing what he is doing but I doubt he will.

I hope you do come down to St Helens Jay sometime mate we could have a nice cup of tea and discuss these lies you keep saying about Terry but I don’t think you would have the bottle to call to see me.

Like you said last night, in your post you do not want to chat to me and I know why because I know you’re a two faced deceitful twerp who cant tell the truth.

I think ... in this case.... the facts of the real grievance should be sought.... what was the actual thing that sparked it all off?

As I understand it .... Terry sold Jay a perfectly healthy Saker..... for the "right" money..... Altai or not the amount paid for the Saker was the normal amount for a normal Saker.

I believe the whole issue between both parties is a disagreement (initially) over "MOD'ing" style & procedure... if that makes sense. All the other **** thats gone on since is the snowball effect of bad feeling.

I think both should take a step back ....cool off ...and take in the sun.... life is too short :D

Terry phoned me this morning, well nearer mid day...................basically to let me know about the Gyr X Pere from yesterday and to thank me yet again:rolleyes: , he mentioned that he was going because of what went on last night and although we didn't go into any details (I wish I'd probed now) I felt that Terry wanted to 'pour his heart out' and he sounded very down.

OK, I helped him out yesterday but I would like to think that anyone who lived within 50 miles of a bird needing collection would have done the same.
I sincerely think that he will be back but give him some time to get the breeding season out of the way, let things calm down a bit on here, and take it from there. There will be quite a few going up to the 'Sales Week end' in August and hopefully by then he'll be back.

And if you do read this Terry, my offer still stands, my wife ......for the bird:supz:

I've been reading this thred for a bit i am not aware of what has been said between these two parties as i wasn't on the computer at the time, but it does seem to me that some people on this forum could start a fight in an empty room. If jay thought that terry had ripped him off in any way he should have gone to see terry and solved the problem like an adult instead of behaving like a school chils and dragging it all over the internet. If that entails sorting it out by queensberry rules well so be it, sort it out like men. (instead of like children) I for one would much rather terry was on the forum than not, as from time to time i do get stuck and need some advice and i would much rather get my advice off someone who has got many years of experience than somebody that hasn't, if thats me being selfish then so be it. Personaly i would think Terry has enough on his plate at this point in time without all this aggro to contend with.

No wonder Terry is angry and does not want to come on here I would not come on here myself if I was had a similar experience regarding my reputation and livelyhood well certainly not before I had well and truely calmed down for fear of saying somthing I may regret later. I read the thread last night BS and the petty reference Jay made about the hood and in my opinion both was a poor and feable reference aimed at making Terry look bad and give him a bad name. I dont know if you know Terry mate but let me tell you something, when I purchased my falcon Terry gave me a hood(which did fit as I tried it on the bird) Not long after that I recieved a box with 8 hoods to choose from in the box was a note saying "pick the ones that fit and send any that does not fit back, regards Terry". This was a suprise to say the least and somthing I didnot expect. Jay was very happy with his falcon he told me that on the phone and via PM. Terry is a decent fellow BS as far as I am concerned.

BS I will be at Terrys for the sales weekend and it will be good to meet you mate. There are enough bad things happening to falconers with the threat of bird flu the anti hunting campaigners, people killing birds for equipment, saboteurs who try and release bop, people poisoning BOP the list can go on. Then all of a sudden a so called falconer(UKJAY) tries to ruin a fellow falconers livelyhood because he has a minor disagreement over a flipping hood worth £25. This is a person or persons of no principles. I have no feeling for this type of person scum rotting flesh is on a higher rung of the ladder in my book.

just like to say i spoke to terry yesterday and found out what had been done and was disgusted i have had a few dealings with terry and he is quite a amazin guy and done me some amazin turns and helped me more than anything on here i know if i needed any info or anything as a matter of fact terry would help me out if he could. as of the weak little ****** who only feels brave when he has a drink then maybe one day we will cross paths and have a relaxin chat about events .terrys birds are something to be seen and his after sales advice is **** hot as i know when my birdin partner and best mate big joe bought a falcon of him, you couldnt ask for better service as i know alot of you on here know i,m lookin to get a falcon for some landfill work and terry is already tryin to find the right bird for me thats the type of guy he is . as for the idiot goin onto terrys website and blackening the guest book then WHAT A GUY there are lots of brave people on a pc its a real shame, as for nursey sayin terry threatened over the phone then your glad thats all you got and not some think worse and i think when you stated you taped the conversation proves what a snyde and underhanded person he really is he's the type of person cause chaos then when things come knockin on your door call 999 like a scared lamb what a guy .

I haven't read anything on the thread concerned so can't and won't judge.
But I am sorry Terry left the forum, he really was an asset with his knowledge and experience. And though I haven't dealt with him in person or ever contacted him, his posts were always great.
And Ukjay and Ukjay's Nursey have posted good and fun stuff as well, so why did this happen?
What always wonders me in these things is why it has to be made public? Why not settle these things like grown-ups in person, by phone or email if needs be, but do it in private. Not on a public forum.

Don't be so bloody daft!! Telemetry is a personal thing. You buy the set you can trust - either from previous experience, or recommendations. You buy the tag (range, power etc) depending on the bird you fly.

I can't believe anyone would just whop it on the bird and totter off flying - without testing it first. By which I mean dragging the wife/friend/neighbouring falconer out to your flying ground and getting them to hide it in various spots.

I find this way, you get a reasonable idea of the type of "blips" it makes when partially hidden, up a tree, behind a hill etc.etc.

UKJay may have "issues" with Terry. But - IMHO - you cannot blame ANYONE else for losing your bird through supposedly "****" telemetry. That's YOUR responsibilty. Check it. Test it. If it's **** - buy another one.

Terry calls to sort things and it gets out of hand
Starts several threads on the site to cause trouble
Jay gets banned from the site and modding
Removed as a mod once ban was over
Every few weeks starts some threads to be abusive and threatening to Terry
Complains about being ripped off by Terry

this was not true....we have on archive all the posts (of which i was offline on that occasion) i read through them and it was nothing of the sorts....there was a tempory ban....basicly till he sobered up and have a think abot his actions....also because of this he was not re-instated as a Moderator at tht time...
