I've only been here three days and in that time two members have very publicly left & a large number of others having a very heated argument.

Just thought the logo at the top should be changed to
International Falconry Forum - Where the World's Falconers Fight.

:)

I've been using various bulletin boards & forums for the last 15 years - both professional (ie work related) and amateur/hobby and they all have the same problems. So it's not any different to what I expected (not sure if thats a good or bad thing).

Just accept it for what it is, remember ppl are passionate about their birds and tempers do get frayed now and then, but we're just like one big family really. And if one of us was down, the rest would be straight there

To make sure we didn't get back up again!!

With you all the way PDF can't see what good this does for the forum or for falconry in general. I honestly came on here to learn about good practises and standards and support the art against those who are trying to stop it. As I see it the anti's would have a field day with some of the comments and threats dished out over the last week. Yet I am also here because when falconry is on the agenda you won't find a better forum.

This Forum is a gold mine of information and knowledge. Yes things do get a little heated from time to time, but rest assured if you have a question or need advice you will get it in bucket loads. Just like any other sport or past time Falconry attracts some idiots and unsavoury ppl but on the whole most of the ppl on here will only be too willing to help out in anyway they can, If you feel that you are being unjustifiably picked on, the PM one of the mods and let them deal with it. and finally remember if someone gives you s**t, then give as good back!

The forum is exactly what I expected - a lot of good advice, some a bit dubious, a little completely wrong. And several strong personalities with differing opinions - tends to lead to arguments in whatever field.

Nothing's put me off the forum - the logo just appealed to my sense of humour, at the top of a screenful of arguing members.

So, I'll be staying, hopefully I'll learn something & may be able to help somewhere along the way.

PS my names Paul (pdf is my initials).

PDF this is the public falconry forum!! but like the suggestion!!

things often get a bit heated on here! (specialy with plumbers!!) usually its overa serious matter like disagreements about ways to practice the sport! these can provide a wealth of knowledge from both arguements!
howver you get the odd idiot who spoils it for everyone!!
