http://www.falconryforum.co.uk/attachment.php?attachmentid=15128&stc=1&d=1149363068 had to go in as the baby male could not get back in to the nest took the opertunity because the female went into the other side of the breeding pens so managed to take a quick pici defenatly 2 females and 1 male

Did the Doe tell when they were coming around to fit the swiss rings. As I would have thought it would have been better to fit them at the same time you would the anklets and that. Only for the reason of the young having threat marks. With them only being six weeks old. Super looking birds there mate well done.:-D

HawkMan69UK
22-06-2006, 01:41 PM
gary i thought you cant get fret marks when there already down only when there leaving the body bacause the blood in the feathers.. may be wrong but the feathers are dead once hard penned not trying to teach you to suck eggs mate you know more about breeding than me....if im wrong somebody im sure somebody will tell me:!: :?:

thanks for the comments gar i always thought a bird of prey was hard penned at eight weeks judging by your pics of your lovely looking birds looks like the tails are only three quarters of the way down, hence the reason the birds being threat marked i might be wrong if i am i will hold my hands up but i think this may be correct as i know of someone in our club who purchased a bird and it had threat marks three quarters of the way down each wing and a fair old way down the tail which resulted in early feahter damage to these threated feathers cheers natch
